WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the Bible is the only adequate guide for life. The following foundational beliefs shape our teaching, culture, and everything that we do.

GOD

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He is Sovereign over all that he has made. He eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The three persons of God are equal, and they exist together as the one true God. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, I Peter 1:2,11) For more information on the topic, read, watch or listen to:

HUMANITY

Although humanity has tremendous potential for good, all men and women are marred by sin: disobedience toward God. This separates humanity from God. Those who choose to repent of their sins and believe and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord enjoy access to God by faith. We believe that all humanity - male and female- are created in the image of God and possesses intrinsic worth. Set apart as His image bearers, every human life is sacred. All men and all women are meant to represent God as His creation. God declares the created order to be very good, distinguishing men and women as His agents to care for, manage, and govern creation. Men and women are called to move past a self-indulgent existence, and they are called to engage in family, church, and civic life. Adam and Eve were made to complement each other in a one-flesh union that establishes the only God-ordained pattern of sexual relations: marriage between a man and a woman. Men and women are not simply interchangeable, but rather they complement each other in mutually enriching ways. We hold to the belief that life begins at conception. ETERNITY

God created mankind to exist forever. Those who choose to reject salvation and live a life of sin will exist eternally separated from God in hell. Hell is eternal separation from the Living God. Those who choose union with God, through Jesus Christ will be united with God forever. Heaven is eternal union with God. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. (John 3:16, Romans 6:23, 1 John 2:25; 5:11-13, Revelation 20:15) For more information on the topic, watch or read

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is one with the Father. He is fully God, and fully man. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death and to make atonement all of humanity's sin. After rising from the dead, He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:22-23, John 1:1-5; 14:10-30, Acts 1:9-11, Romans 1:3-4, I Corinthians 15:3-4, I Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13,  Hebrews 4:14-15) For more, read or listen to

SALVATION

Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make atonement for sin by self-improvement or good works. Only those who choose to accept forgiveness for their sins, and believe that Jesus Christ is Lord enjoy access to God. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (John 1:12; 14:6, Romans 5:1; 6:23, Galatians 3:26, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5) For more, read or watch

ETERNAL SECURITY

Because God gives eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in his or her salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the effort of the believer. Works are important, but they are not what we look to for eternal security. (John 10:29, 2 Timothy 1:12, Hebrews 7:25; 10:10-14, I Peter 1:3-5) If you would like to dive deeper, read or listen to

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit exists in perfect union with the Father and the Son. He convicts humanity of sin and makes men and women aware of their need for God. The Holy Spirit lives within every believer from the moment of Salvation. He provides understanding of spiritual truth, and biblical guidance throughout the believer's life. The believer seeks to live in submission to the Holy Spirit's guidance and direction. (John 14:16-17; 16:7-13, Acts 1:8, I Corinthians 2:12; 3:16, 2 Corinthians 3:1, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 1:13; 5:18) For more, read or watch

THE BIBLE

The Bible is God's inspired, authoritative, and living Word to all men. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is our source of truth as believers. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error. Therefore, the Bible is our final authority for faith and practice and is necessary for our daily lives as it continually points us toward the person of Jesus. (Psalm 12:6; 119:105, 160, Proverbs 30:5, 2 Timothy 1:13; 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
